Images from the 2002 Tennessee Star Party

Astronomy enthusiasts  from across Tennessee and neighboring states had a wonderful time under the stars in  spite of  Hurricane Lili which  after blowing through Louisiana  produced soaking rains and windy condtions across Western and Central Tennessee on Friday night. Attendees were treated to presentations from astronomers fron Vanderbilt University, Officers from the Astronomical League as well as renowned author Richard Berry and optical guru Peter Ceravolo who introduced Main Sequence's Desktop Universe which will surely set a new standard in astronomy planetarium software. A fun family atmosphere, good food and of course we had great skies Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Thanks to our friends at the Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society- Let's do it again next year !
