Genesis LRGB Color CCD Imagery

To date all imagery  with the Genesis CCD Camera has been accomplished with my Takahashi FS 78 apochromatic refractor mounted piggyback on a Meade 10" LX200. Images have been autoguided with the Cookbook 245 CCD at the SCT's prime focus  as well as with the mount unguided. In most cases images have been cropped and resized for display.

The Great Orion Nebula,  M42

acquisition and calibration accomplished with Maxim DL 3.0
with color composition and post processing with Adobe PS

LRGB ( 30:12:14:24 )

30 sec subexposures used for luminance
2 minute subexposures used for RGB
autoguided with the CB245

 The Andromeda Galaxy,  M31

Two image tiles were used in this mosaic. This was taken during my third night out with the Genesis! I was quite thrilled with results after getting PISCO worked out. Need to gather more frames to do this object justice

Frames were calibrated with AIP4Win and then stacked with Maxim DL that also was used to equallize the backgrounds and white points before a user customized logarithmic histogram scaling was applied. Image was stitched together with the mosaic function in Maxim.

Each tile is an average of  ( 15 ) 120sec exposures unguided

The Horse Head Nebula in Orion, IC434

autoguided with the CB245. this is a color composite
consisting of 5 minute subexposures for a total integration time of

LRGB ( 120: 15:20:30 )

The image may have a slight green tinge depending on the gamma setting of your monitor. This was due to a noisy green exposure as this was imaged from an area of the sky with considerable light pollution.
